7 Lessons That I Learned from My First Half-Marathon
From a 10km in Paris to a half-marathon in Texas.

The answer to this question made me go through an amazing experience, which taught me valuable lessons.
Exactly 3 weeks from the Marathon day, after my morning Taekwondo training, my classmate and friend Maygen asked me this question:
Do you like to run Zoumana?
Since I run 3 to 5 miles on a daily basis, my answer was obviously YES.
Then, she provided me with all the information regarding the Marathon, such as the registration procedure and the marathon day.
My first marathon was a 10km organized by Addidas in 2021 in Paris. But this time, it was double: 20.9km 🤔. When I first thought of that distance, my mind was trying to tell me a bunch of excuses:
You have assignments, exams, and also a lot of list of articles on your todo-list.
Even though you run these 3 to 5 miles every morning, this time is different, it is a HALF-MARATHON and it is in less than a month.
Just leave it and try to prep for another one.
